Intel WiFi 6 AX200 Not Working:
My WiFi device, the Intel WiFi 6 ax200 does not work after updating it with the latest drivers. There are a few things I did to check that the problem was not with the card or networking hardware, but I ended up on a database for information on software issues and found the problem. It is very frustrating because this device is brand new and works perfectly well. Before you call your computer technician, check out what steps you can take to fix this problem.
Run Windows update:
The first thing I did when I noticed the Wi-Fi not working was to check to see if updates had been issued. If they weren’t I could simply restart my system and run a Windows update again. If the update didn’t solve the problem then the hardware is probably the problem. If the device is working but you have no other hardware problems then most likely the issue is with software. I uninstalled the driver update software for my WiFi system and went on to try to troubleshoot the WiFi issue.
Update the latest Intel WiFi 6 AX201 Driver:
First of all, if you’re not using an updated version of the Windows firmware (usually vista or windows seven), then your driver might be corrupt. To see if your drivers are working properly, just start a Windows Update and go through all of the updates for programs and drivers. Make sure everything is updated properly and any updates you’ve missed are actually working. Also if your PC is on a non-functional Windows Update, then try running a Windows registry cleaner program to clean up any of the corrupted files that might be in there. This should help your system get back into the swing of things and once you’ve done that you’ll be able to continue troubleshooting your wireless connection.
Check the Wireless settings:
Now I ran into a minor problem where the Wireless device would not connect to the Access point. Even though it was on my network. I quickly realized that the Wi-Fi settings were wrong and that the problem was with the driver. The first thing I did was to boot up my laptop and went into the BIOS to manually enter the passwords and make the required changes. I was able to find the one bad setting and change it to a proper setting which should have fixed the problem. Then I restarted my system and things were working again.
Install the latest updates:
Another problem was when I tried to download some updates for the Bluetooth device but the Wi-Fi wasn’t working. Again, I quickly realized that the Wi-Fi settings are incorrect. After that, I just restarted my computer and everything was fine again. It turns out that the latest update for the Bluetooth devices needs to be installed. In order for them to function correctly.
Check for system Drivers:
These two problems are quite frustrating but fortunately, they are both easy to resolve. If your Wi-Fi isn’t working, then it’s likely that the device drivers aren’t working either. This is a simple process that takes only a few minutes to carry out. Which will resolve any problems that you’re experiencing. You should be able to get back online in no time at all.
